    Your Newborn

    No baby is the same!
Each is a little person with a unique personality. Your newborn varies from others in a number of ways, such as appearance, activity level, types of responses, and sleeping and eating patterns. Your baby is a wonderful puzzle, and it will take time for you to get to know all of the pieces. As you learn more about your baby, you will gain a better understanding of your baby’s temperament. This will help you relate to your baby in a more rewarding way. Enjoy this special time as you become a family!

Before we talk more about your new baby, there are a few things you should know to assure your baby’s health and safety while in the hospital, including:

    • Infant security policy
    • Newborn screening tests
    • Newborn hearing test
    • Medications and vaccinations
    • Birth certificate information
    Your baby has finally arrived!
