Maternity Services - Home Visits
After delivery, a home visit from the experienced nurses of Sutter VNA and Hospice will help insure a confident, healthy mother and a thriving baby.
To arrange for care, please call 1-800-557-9777.
During the initial visit, which occurs in the privacy of home 24 to 72 hours after delivery, our specially trained nurse performs a complete physical assessment of mother and baby. She then provides individualized care and education, as needed.
Anyone may call and request home care services. Sutter VNA will coordinate care with your physician, who supervises the care you will receive.
Many health insurance plans cover home health care for mothers and newborn babies, as does Medicare and Medi-Cal. The staff will work with your insurance company to coordinate benefits.
